Welcome

I would like to welcome you to my new blog.  My name is Joe Grady and I am the current VP of Operations and Development at Study by App, LLC.  Study by App was founded in 2009 with the goal of connecting students with bold and dynamic content on the go.  To meet this need Study by App currently develops educational apps for the iPhone, iTouch, and iPad mobile platforms. Our staff is a collective of teachers, authors, scholars, professors, and publishers with one goal in mind: Bringing Content to the Forefront of Education! 

I have spent the majority of my career in the Education and Teaching field and a few years ago I realized that Teaching and Learning just wasn't the same any more. After a few years of attempting to reach high school students  that were increasingly more tech savvy then most of their teachers, a colleague and I decided it was time to adapt and join the tide, and thus Study by App was born.

My blogs will mainly focus on the infusion of technology into today's classroom.  However, to foster the discussion this blog will also focus on Educational Methods from the past and those we can look forward to in the future!  I would like to welcome you to comment on anything that you see here and hopefully you will find this blog to be informative, thought provoking, and a reference point for all things Ed-Tech based.

Before I go, I would like to pose a question........  Just to give you something to think about: imagine that only 10 short years ago teachers conveyed their content without the help of interactive white boards, streaming video, mobile applications, tablet devices, individual laptops, podcasts, or even Blogs!

With that in mind.......Just where is education headed?
